I have tried a blue million bread recipes over the years. I hated all of them! Lol I had given up the hope of ever finding a homemade bread recipe that tasted good and wouldn’t double as a spare baseball bat at any given moment…until I found this one. Hands down, the best homemade bread I’ve ever eaten. When I make it, I bake A LOT of it because it literally goes as fast as it comes out of the oven. Try it…it’s my favorite!
Put 2 1/4 cup hot water in your stand mixer and add 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast and a pinch of sugar. ( I use the rapid rise)
Let the yeast dissolve into the water. Once it becomes bubbly, add 1/4 cup sugar, 1 TBSP salt, 2 TBSP oil, and 4 cups all purpose flour.
Mix together until a sticky dough forms.
Gradually continue adding 1 1/2 cup more flour until the dough is nice and soft.
Remove you dough and kneed on a lightly floured surface for 5-7 minutes.
Place your dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with cling wrap to rise.
Let it set for one hour.
Afterwards, remove the dough and divide it into two.
Roll the dough out in a rectangle and begin rolling it into a cylinder (on the short end). This will form a loaf shape.
Spray your loaf pan and put your dough in. Cover with cling wrap and let it sit and rise for another hour.
Once it’s risen, bake in the oven for 30-35 minutes on 375.
Let the bread cool for about 10 minutes and remove from the pan.
So yummy! I use this to make bread, hamburger buns, dinner rolls, dessert breads…its very versatile!
