These rolls are so easy and quick to whip up to go along with dinner! (Makes 12 rolls)
- 5-6 Cups all purpose flour
- 1/4 Cup vegetable oil
- 2 Cups warm water 105-110 degrees F
- 2/3 Cups sugar
- 1 1/2 TBSP dry active yeast
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
Pour the warm water into a large mixing bowl . Dissolve the sugar entirely in the water by stirring. Add in the year and give a quick stir. Add in the vegetable oil, half of your flour, and the sale. Mix together. Add in the remaining flour gradually until the dough is still slightly sticky.
Flour a flat surface and turn dough out onto floured surface.
Knead the dough and roll it into a log. Your dough should be smooth and springy.
Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour. ( It should double in size)
Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Round the bottom of the rolls making them resemble a ball shape.
Grease a pan and place your rolls onto it.
Cover your rolls and let them rise for an additional 20 minutes, where they should again double in size.
During this time, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Bake your rolls for about 20-25 minutes. You can give them a light layer of butter if you so choose the last few minutes of baking which will help to brown the tops.
